Premiere Hoops is looking for a few good Men.....and Women, for that matter!

Not to make light of the war situation going on, over in Iraq, but Premiere Hoops is ready to go to war, in a sense, to help the United States of America, regain it's rightful position, as the best basketball players in the world! Like many of you die-hard basketball fans and players, we at PH, too, are tired of seeing America send it's "best" players, over to the Olympics, over the past few competitions, to see them not only come home without the gold medal, but to also see them get embarrassed Thur the process! This outrage has got to stop! Premiere Hoops is asking for your cooperation to help us help ourselves, reclaim our basketball glory! We need every basketball player out there, in the greater Joliet area, to get involved, and join the front lines of this battle, to take back our number 1 basketball ranking, in the world, and sign-up to be a member of Premiere Hoops, TODAY!

In our view, there are three main reasons for America's downfall, in basketball! The first reason for America's desend has to be pointed in the direction of And1 and their Mix tape promotions! In an effort to sell basketball shoes and merchandise, this company, in effect, has sold it's soul, or soles, if you will! I've watched only a few of these Mix tape shows, as they call them, only to walk away with disgust and disdain! People, this is not real basketball! These players travel the globe, in an effort to promote And1's vision of basketball, which is suppose to be the streetball version of basketball! But don't be fool basketball lovers! And1 is the dark side of the basketball force! With their promotions, they teach and reinforce all that is bad with the game, including showmanship, the dreaded "there is an I in team mentality", and worse of all, no respect for the game, style of play! Street basketball has it's place in basketball, just like other things that make the game so great, but to push this style of basketball to the fore-front of the culture, and to seduce our kids to such torture, is in our opinions too much to ask! At Premiere Hoops, we will show kids the right way, on how to play the game, the right way! This is certainly a right step in the right direction for American Basketball, to get back, on the right track!

The second main reason for America's downfall, in basketball, has to be ESPN! Sure, they have revolutionized the sporting news industry, with their 24 hour non-stop reporting! But what is ESPN reallying showcasing during it's coverage? The Highlights, right! The big play! That's fine and dandy, but the highlights only compose but a small portion, of the entire game! By always displaying only the spectacular plays from games, especially in basketball, may make many players think that in order to be featured on a program, like ESPN, they may have to make a specular play, every time they step out, onto a basketball court! And that, my friend, does not make for a good basketball player! That idea makes for a self serving player in a game that's suppose to be selfless! By only showcasing the slam dunks and 3 point shots made from players in the NBA and NCAA, ESPN is really sending a message, to the youth of America, that says, "Hey, if you want to make it to the Big-Times, you've got be able to do this!" Again, this is the wrong message to send to our youth! We should be emphasizing the team game! That the sum of the whole team is greater than it's parts! The ultimate prize, on any basketball level, should be the Team Championship! Not even the great Micheal Jordan was able to win an NBA Championship, until the Bulls organization finally surrounded him with a good TEAM! Premiere Hoops main goal will be to once again stress the fun, dedication, and team concepts, that should be high attributes of any good basketball player!

Finally! The biggest problem preventing American basketball from reaching the top, once again, is the lack of fundamentals! Can someone please tell me what happen to the 12 to 14 ft. offensive short game, Please? What about the pride that is suppose to attached with good defense, and stopping your man from scoring? What about the proper positioning to get rebounds? These skills are lost arts in the basketball game, of American players, today! These will be the core values at Premiere Hoops! In order for us, America, to re-establishing ourselves, as the best players in the world, we can no longer depend on our athletic ability, alone, to get us through the competition! Other countries have done a better job of studying our game, and perfected the basics, which has lead us to be beating, time and time again, at our own game! When players come to play at Premiere Hoops, they will notice and immediate difference, and the sense of urgency, concerning our passion for the game, and the level of respect, we will display, for the game! At Premiere Hoops, we feel it is important, that every player, approach the game as a Professional, regardless of your skill level! If you want to be good at something, you have to dedicate your time and energy, to making yourself a better player, for the sake of the team! Premiere Hoops will lead the way! Starting with our youth, PH will show and stress to our next generation of ball players, the right steps towards making the improvements, and adjustments needed to be the best players in the world! And for our older players, we will provide structure! Our leagues and tournaments will be designed to encourage team concepts and play, that will help the best TEAMS win! Only teams, that make proper sacrifices, and put in the hard work, will get fame and glory, at Premiere Hoops! These small actions, along with many more to come, once Premiere Hoops is open, will help steer America back, to it's proper place, as the Premiere basketball players, in the world. Thanks for stopping by PremiereHoops.Com! By now, hopefully you are getting pretty excited about our new basketball complex, coming to Joliet, sometime between late 2007 or early 2008. Right now, we are just trying to give you a small sample of what our establishment will be like! Imagine for a moment, if you will, the thought of no longer searching for a place to play, some real quality basketball! When I was growing up, as a die-hard basketball player in Maywood, Il., me and my crew could go and play basketball, everyday of the week! But of course, that meant, piling into some body's old beater, and driving all over the metropolitan Chicago area to do it! We had a great time back then, showing up at different spots! Beaten crews and getting beat by crews! We made war stories that will last a lifetime! It seems like the times of the 80's and 90's were a bit slower, and offered a bit better brand of basketball play! That's another blog, for another day! But, with the fast-times of the 2000's, who now has the time, to run all across town, to find a good game of basketball? This question lead me and my business partner, and good friend, to ponder that thought! And after a year of brainstorming and researching, we came up with a crazy ideal....called Premiere Hoops!

So, you may be asking yourself, "What's so special about this Premiere Hoops?" Well, for starters, remember the movie "Field Of Dreams" for a minute! Take that baseball themed movie, and switch the ideal to basketball, and you could come up with, Premiere Hoops! At Premiere Hoops, we will take basketball to another level! Think Full-Service! Which will be a totally different experience from the current "No-Frills" basketball play, you currently get, from most basketball vendors of today, IE. Park Districts and YMCA's. At Premiere Hoops, our goal will be to make every player feel like a Pro! From the moment you walk inside our doors, you will be able to tell, that something is different, about our place! Premiere Hoops will feature 2 NBA size basketball courts! Each court will feature scoreboards and shot clocks. Our courts will also feature message display centers, that will flash advertisements from local business and live game stats, for the many players and fans to see, who we expect to visit our complex, on a daily basis! Each of our 2 NBA courts, will have the ability to be broken down, into 2 smaller courts, with curtain dividers, giving us the flexibility to run 4 courts at the same time! This will allow us to use 2 courts for league play and 2 courts for pick-up play.

If your mouth is watering after all that! Get a load of this! Our basketball leagues will feature some of the best competition in the area. We will record all of our league games, and make DVD copies .....for you to purchase, of course! We will also keep stats, for players, of all games played at Premiere Hoops. Then we'll post those same stats, on our website, for the whole world to see! Our uniforms will be of the highest made quality, including our replica NCAA and NBA uniforms, for our College League and N League, respectfully! Then, if you want to talk about awards for your championship teams, at Premiere Hoops, it will be unbelievable! While most other places will make you play for T-shirts and other frivolous prizes! At Premiere, you will play for custom-made Championship Rings, team trophies, and individual awards! Hopefully, by now, you are getting a sense of what Premiere Hoops means, by "Full-Service!"

Finally, about our pick-up games! Remember, when back in the day, you would sometimes go to a spot! Nobody there would know you, and and worse yet, no one could "vouch" for your game! You couldn't pay someone to picked you up to play for the next game, or any game for that matter! Well, that sort of Monopoly play won't happen at Premiere Hoops! Our Pick-Up basketball will be simply crazy, Son! First of all, as stated earlier, PH will feature 2 courts for pick-ups, 1 for members, and 1 for walk-ins or non-members. All members will be required to wear their reversible uniforms, that comes free as part of your Lottery Package, when you sign-up to become a member, at our complex! Next, we will have Referees....that's right! Certified Referees, to monitor and call all of our pick-up games! What a concept! That means no more arguing and no more messing around, on the basketball court! Well, at least a lot less of it, anyway! When the Ref's make a call, that's it, next play! The games will also be on a running clock.... scoreboard clock, that is! The first team to score 24 points or the team winning after 12 minutes, wins the game! Winners will stay to defend, losers will leave the court, to battle again, later! The next five players, on the sign-up sheet, will step on the court, to play next! Monopoly play, at Premiere Hoops, will not be allowed! You can sign up with whoever you like, if you choose! But, if your "Dream Team" should happen to loose it's game, you go back to the list, or you go home! This system will keep the games moving, and will give EVERYONE a chance to play, some quality basketball! The same thing will happen on both basketball courts, except one court will be for members, who will wear their reversible jerseys, and the other court will be for non-members, and they won't have the free reversible jerseys!

So, just remember! Rather you are a seasoned street basketball player! An ex-professional basketball player! If you are a player who has ever played any form of organized basketball in the past! A beginner. A fan! A Girl or a Boy! A Man or Woman! Human or Alien! If you have some extra cash, and a love for the game of basketball, then Premiere Hoops is going to be the one and only place for you, to get all of your basketball needs filled, to the brim, seven days a week! So, come by, after we get open, when you get a chance! We'll leave the lights on for you!!!!!
